
chad kukahiko – writer/director,

Originally from Hilo on the Big Island of Hawaii, Chad Kukahiko, graduated from the Kamehameha Schools, Kapālama campus in 1990. He spent most of the time since performing in more than fifty different plays – including two years with the off-Broadway hit STOMP – before making the move a handful of years ago to writing and directing. His film and television appearances as an actor include ‘Charmed’, ‘Killian’s Chronicle’ and ‘Mid-Century’ with John Glover and fellow Boston University alum Faye Dunaway. He also co-wrote and co-starred with recording artist Kyle Puccia, in the rock musical ‘Longshot’, which debuted at the 2000 New York Fringe festival. As a musician he has been signed to Elektra Records and as a singer and song-writer he completed production of the album ‘swell’ in 2005, and continues to develop music for the electronic project 100k and the acoustic superfreakos. In 2007, with his brother, Denton Kukahiko, and longtime girlfriend, Kendall Kanoa Hawley, Chad co-founded superfreako productions, the production company that produced carefully descending as well as several other pieces. A Part-Hawaiian from Arizona, Kendall Kanoa Hawley is the founder of Kuliaikanuu, a production company that focuses on Polynesian and Hawaiian stories and characters. Kendall comes to film-making via the unlikely world of politics. As an assistant to an Arizona State Senator, she learned the value of politics and history in shaping the everyday circumstances we all face, and now as a producer she’s devoted to bringing historical and historically-based fact and fiction to the screen. Kendall’s current projects in development include ‘The Last of Our Kind’ a documentary about the vanishing Hawaiian race, ‘Last Days’ a TV-show and web site about survivors of a zombie apocalypse, and ‘Tagi Sina’ the story of a young female boxer forced to choose between fame and family.

Born in Algeria • Studied in Algeria, France, Germany, and USA • Graduated from CSULB-California State University Long Beach • Studied documentary making at UCLA Film school • Associate Producer of Rize , David LaChapelle’s documentary which premiered at Sundance Film Festival in 2005.
Karim lost a best friend/cousin to involvement in gangs, he wanted to reach out to the youth of South Central Los Angeles and provide them with a constructive non-violent outlet. Out of this inspiration he promoted, funded, and produced major dance competition event in 2003 that was filmed for Rize.

After spending 10 years in the Event Planning field organizing concerts, sporting events and fund-raisers, Denny decided in 2006 to follow his passion for filmmaking. Denny is the Technical Director and one of the founding members of superfreako productions. His most recent and current projects include: Carefully Descending as camera op; an untitled documentary currently in post with producer Craig Rian (camera op) and an untitled sitcom currently in development with ENDI Entertainment, as producer.

Originally from Virginia, Will Bowles attended James Madison University where he was an improv player with the comedy group Cillia. Later, he relocated to Orlando, Florida where he became an ensemble member at the SAK Comedy Lab. While at SAK, he and fellow UNDERGROUND cast mate Josh Flaum co-founded the sketch and improv group THEM, which performed throughout North America.

murisa harba – “beautiful woman” (voice)
Murisa received her BFA in Theatre Studies from Boston University’s prestigious College of Fine Arts. She then spent three years in Manhattan performing and touring in shows such as Sweet Charity, Amadeus, The Rivals and ABC’s ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Roadtrip, which gave her a taste of what LA had to offer. Murisa went on to compete in International Latin Ballroom around the U.S. and Europe for next five years before she landed in LA for good where she currently resides as a full time actress. Recent projects include the Jamie Kennedy Feature, “Lost and Found in Armenia,” “All My Children,” Disney’s “I’m in the Band,” “Omerta,” Beautifully Esther,” which was most recently showcased at the Feel Good Film Festival and “True Love,” which has just been accepted to the NewFilmmamkers LA Film Festival. She also had the pleasure of working with the very well oiled machine known as Superfreako Productions a second time, starring as the lead girl in Singer/Singwriter Kyle Puccia’s ‘Broken People’ Music Video. Murisa continues to study with the Groundlings and is a proud member of the Will Wallace Acting Company. brooke hansohn – associate producer
Brooke graduated Cum Laude from California State University, Fullerton in 2005 with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Communications, Entertainment Studies and a minor in American Studies. She pursued the entertainment industry as a Special Events Coordinator and made the decision to attend the Los Angeles Film School (LAFS) to pursue her true passion: Producing. While attending LAFS, she wrote, directed, and produced her short film, Full Circle; she also founded the production company: Brooke ~ Barclay Films. Graduating with Honors in May 2010, Brooke has produced and crewed on projects ranging from music videos, pilots, commercials, features, and documentaries. Most notably: a commercial for Big Wangs Sport Bars (airing locally in Southern California), Mysteria, a feature film with Danny Glover and Billy Zane, and a documentary regarding the soul-wrenching platform of human trafficking. She is currently assisting the Talent coordinator for NBC’s new reality show, The Voice.

Garrett Robinson has been a professionally trained and working audio engineer since he was seventeen years old. He has worked with the likes of Juliette Lewis and Chick Corea, and in a wide variety of genres, including music, foley and sound editing, and final mixing. He has recorded, edited and mixed dozens of audiobooks, public service announcements and short films in his 5-year career.
